About Us - Introduction
Dance Horizon Troupe (Singapore) was established as a non-profit society on the 20th August 2001. The troupe is founded by Mr. Henry Ng Chay Kuang, a prominent local dance choreographer, with the aim to promote the local arts scene. The troupe seeks to nurture potential dancers and choreographers as well as to instill dance appreciation amongst the community.
Throughout these years, Dance Horizon has been actively involved in a number of events. To name a few, they include company public performance at theatres, charity function, celebrations of festive seasons, Arts Education Programme, Cultural Exchange programmes and guest performances for functions organized by media corporations/radio stations etc. The troupe hopes to promote the art of dancing and more importantly, support Singapore in attaining the status of a cultural and artistic hub through staging of various dance events.
OBJECTIVES of the troupe are:

To instill the interest of dancing in the members, widen their dance knowledge and enhance their standards.

To help young members acquire basic dance skills, discover and develop potential in a non-academic field.

To promote the art of dancing and raise public awareness of dancing through the staging of various events by dance artistes and students.

To create performance opportunities for the members.

To provide opportunities for cultural exchange programmes with dance teachers and organizations from other countries.

To develop and nurture the growth of talented dancers and choreographers.
